Why can’t you just fix my current website, instead of building a new one?
We get this question a lot—especially from business owners who’ve already invested a lot in their current site. The short answer—it’s usually not worth patching up something that was never built to perform in the first place.
Most websites we’re asked to “fix” were built on platforms that look fine on the surface—but behind the scenes, they’re slow, hard to update, not built for Google (search engine visibility), and frustrating to use on a phone—and with 96.3% of visitors using mobile devices, giving them a poor experience can seriously hurt your ability to get clients.
Even worse, these websites don’t actually convert visitors into leads or customers. And unfortunately these flaws aren’t limited to do-it-yourself/DIY solutions like Wix, SquareSpace, or GoDaddy. Read the FAQ “Can’t I just build the site myself with one of those easy-looking DIY site builders?“
It’s like trying to renovate a house with a crumbling foundation. You could throw more money at it, but you’d still be stuck with the same underlying problems – and spending more in the process.
The latest Google research shows visitors form an opinion about your website (and consequently your business) in just 0.05 of a second—that’s faster than you can blink. If your website hasn’t even loaded by then, you’ve already lost them as a client.
To give you an idea of just how important the speed of your website is—if it takes just 1 extra second to load, it can reduce the amount of clients you get by 7%—that means if you get 100 leads per month, you’re automatically losing 7 potential clients just because your site is too slow.
Starting fresh lets us build something strong, fast, and effective—something that finally works the way you need it to.
That said, we’ll absolutely review your current site to see what’s worth keeping—like any search engine traction or links from other websites that are sending you traffic. If it’s valuable, we’ll carry it over.
But if you are here, and your website is costing you clients and money, then a clean, strategic rebuild is often the fastest and most cost-effective way to turn things around and get results that support your business.
